Creative Printmaker – about the position

This opportunity is suitable for creatives who have a passion for crafting design with their hands. You will be taught the fundamentals of working in a hands-on, craft-oriented commercial studio. In time, you will grow to become multi-talented a creative professional, with your first specialisation in letterpress printmaking.

With training and support, you will join our production team and undertake duties including mixing inks, making plates, cutting and mounting paper, finishing and quality control.

As you skill-up you’ll graduate to letterpress printmaking responsibilities: inking, embossing, debossing, foiling and die-cutting on old-school Heidelberg Platen presses. At the completion of each project, you’ll feel that special zing inside.

Skills + Requirements

As this is a unique hands-on role, we’re seeking applicants with a unique set of skills:

You must be mature-minded to tackle to challenges of commercial printmaking and creativity.

Ideally you have tertiary education in Design, Printmaking or the Arts – or perhaps completed studies in an unrelated field. As long as you learnt with grit and patience – this is what counts more!
