Letterpress Printing Workshops

  • Do you love using your hands?
  • Are you a closet paper-nerd?
  • Do you miss the joy of creativity outside a computer screen?

If you’d love to experience the creativity of print, The Distillery’s letterpress printing workshops are perfect for you…

Beginner workshops – hands on

Get your mind dreaming, fingers inky, and meet like-minded people at a Thursday evening workshop, in the heart of Darlinghurst, Sydney.

See, feel, and experience design as you craft your very own custom letterpress printed stationery. Your stationery could include a small run of business, social, memo or greeting cards.

Led from start to finish by senior Printmakers from The Distillery, you’ll learn about the world of craft, paper stationery, and vintage printing technology, and understand how it all beautiful fits together in 2017. Explore paper-stocks, rubber-based Pantone inks, and Heidelberg platen and Korrex proof printing presses – you’ll re-discover the fun of creating something gorgeous with your own hands.

The 3 hour beginner workshops make for an unforgettable evening. It’s even better when experienced with a friend! With a maximum of 6 students per workshop, with only 2 students per press, you’ll be living and breathing ink all night.
